TABULATIONS: HIERARCHICAL DATA
MRDC has considerable experience in handling studies with hierarchical data. This means two or more levels of data from the survey possibly doctors/patients, households/family members, respondents/days of a diary, respondents/eating out occasions etc. This type of data is sometimes known as data with one-to-many relationships.
Whilst some programs handle this type of data inefficiently, we have all the skills and software needed to process this type of data effectively.
This is because;
MRDCL , our tabulation software, has special tools to handle this type of data
Our staff fully understand the complexities and pitfalls of processing this type of data
We can accumulate data across all records to produce aggregate data
We can produce data across data levels (e.g. price of meal by number of meals eaten out)
We can provide data in Reflect for secondary analysis , so that you can analyse data within levels
